Amanda Stoker has been designated as the new child safety and domestic violence minister in Queensland, taking over from Amanda Camm. Camm resigned from the frontbench because of safety reasons. Stoker, a conservative backbencher, was officially sworn in amid reports of a cut-throat performance measure for the new minister. The appointment comes as Queensland confronts challenges in dealing with child safety and domestic violence issues.
