'No Material Impact': Infosys On Trump's Green Card Crackdown - NDTV

U.S. Cuts Off Key Green Card Path in Tech Sector

The United States has frozen PERM labor certification for eight major tech companies, cutting off a primary green card pathway for H-1B visa holders. The move impacts a large number of Indian nationals working in the sector, who rely on that process to apply for permanent residency.

Indian IT firm Infosys says it does not foresee material impact from the suspension. The broader tech industry is cautioning that the crackdown could push skilled foreign workers to move toward Canada, Australia, or other countries instead of the U.S.
